A Day at the Barn
Today we spent time walking through the barn at Vicaus Orchard, taking a closer look at its structure, space, and possibilities for the seasons ahead. Old barns carry a quiet history. The wood, the beams, and the worn surfaces reflect years of work, weather, and care. Standing inside, you can almost feel the rhythm of past harvests and the lives that shaped this place. For us, this visit was not only an inspection. It was a moment to imagine the future and how this space can be restored, adapted, and brought back into daily use. Whether for storage, processing, or simply as part of the farm’s character, the barn will continue to play an important role in the life of Vicaus Orchard. There is still much to learn and plan, but step by step we are building something meaningful. It is rooted in the land, guided by nature, and shaped by patience.
